winter crop
Not too bad for doing nothing through out the winter! Now all beds are mulched (well done Daddy, this horse manure was an excellent idea) and waiting for first new seedlings to go in. The winter crop is piling on the kitchen table. Oh, happy days!

a very beautiful house
We have visited a very beautiful house. You could easily shoot a cook book there or children's fashion. Beautiful light, stunning collection of furniture mostly picked up from the scrap yard. Nice hosts too. Treat of the week.

dolls house
c. 1800
This dolls house was made for George Webb Hall and his wife Maria and was modeled on their family home in Queen Square, Bristol.
Most of the furnishings and occupants were added in the 1840s. Some of the dolls were given names by the family - the lady in green silk dress was known as The Queen, and the lady in brown velvet is called Victoria.
The house remained in the same family for generations until 2001 when it was generously donated by descendant Mrs Anna Brandon-Jones.
