lucky day

First I bought a Lotto then I found a shamrock or rather a four-leaf-clover. Is it a confirmation  that I am going to win £250 000, or does it mean that I have to buy another coupon? Or maybe it means I should play Irish Lotto?
Confused.

thali cafe

They have nice interiors and a glittering shop front.

Chairs have funny hooks and a bookshelf at the back.

They serve food on metal plates, drinks in metal cups, and water in metal jugs.

The decor is stylish.

And the menu is smashing. Gulab Jamun on the picture below.

If you haven't been there, go. For us ***** on a scale of 5. The place we've been looking for since we have moved in. One of those you cannot possibly be disappointed with and you feel at home the minute you walk in. Namaste!

Easton on Saturday

Easton is like being on the other side of the globe.
Sitting in the wonderful Thali Cafe, feasting, I took some of these pictures not even moving from my chair. Feels different than Hanham with its boring middle class and English flag in each front garden, huh?

m-shed

We finally made it to the m-shed. It is well worth it, small but great, post industrial building with interactive exhibitions round the Bristol theme. Shows most aspects of being Bristolian, history of town and places, communities and people. Also it is free + very crowded.

the cat flap hunt II

The Cat Flap is our local charity (for cats). It is an ugly little store with bad smell and loads of clutter. We love it though and I am buying there some silly objects that other people got rid off. Yesterdays hunt got me some of these:

pigetti

OK, Marta, I do not know how you do it: my kids do not get it either.

We ended up in mess - still hungry. Olaf didn't touch a thing.
We'll stick to penne for now.

treat of the week

People who are visiting from Poland always ask what to bring. We always say: bread, prunes in chocolate and something seasonal. My Dad brought us wild blueberries. Best treat ever.
